Pork katsu is a simple yet effective dish guaranteed to hit the spot after a long day at work. This dish requires minimal ingredients with no preparation, making it a perfect weeknight meal! Pair with Japanese curry if you are feeling a little fancy.

Ingredients
- Pork Loin Steak
- 1 egg
- Plain flour
- Panko crumbs
- Neutral oil for frying
- Tonkatsu sauce (I used Obento brand)
Method
- Tenderise pork steak with a meat tenderiser.
- Season pork steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Make a 3-step dredging station: Plain flour, beaten egg, panko crumbs
- Pat pork into plain flour, beaten egg mixture, then panko crumbs. Press pork into panko crumbs firmly.
- Shallow fry crumbed pork in oil until golden brown, or approximately 3 minutes on each side.
- Drizzle tonkatsu sauce on the pork steak and serve with white rice.
